Especially in economically harder times the leading trade show offers an unique stage for companies, who additionally are invited to draw down provided economic development schemes.

Taking place from 28th till 30th of October 2009 in Köln, Germany, the FSB Cologne is the worldwide leading trade show with regard to sports- and leisure time – activities, respectively their associated industry. Also approved by the participation of international companies - indeed showing a rate of over 60 percent.

Especially in times of convoluted economic conditions the FSB Cologne, as well-established business-, communications-, and contact-platform, is bearing a responsible meaning – like Oliver P. Kuhrt phrases that leading trade shows have an impact on the markets, like light houses have, when poor visibility and rough sea are clouding the seaman´s sight: “Leading trade shows offer reliability and orientation and hence present an outstanding basis for successful business!”

Furthermore the FSP Cologne constitutes a well-proven partner also for – and in particular – for smaller and medium-sized enterprises. About 90 percent of more than 45.000 companies who are participating regularly in the Köln trade shows are part of this category.

According to this the FSB Cologne has establish a service-portfolio - which isn´t yet reached in quality and quantity worldwide – and which enables the exhibition´s participants to concentrate fully on their quintessential business.

_ „Ranging from consultancy when defining the goals of the whole trade show previously, as well concerning widespread organizational and logistic services, up to a broad range of individual marketing attendance.”_ Oliver P. Kuhrt explains.

Young, innovative companies coming from Germany are 2009 again invited to volunteer for sponsorship and promotion at the FSB Cologne - and therefore at the global market.

Within the program to `encourage the participation of young and innovative companies in international leading trade shows´, there solely 2008 have been invested 2,5 mill.€ in promising nationwide projects.

According to the program, fostered units have to be autonomous by law, with innovations in the producing or operating line; additionally the companies registered office as well as the business operations have to be located in the Republic of Germany, whereby less than 50 members of staff, an annual turnover of maximum 10 mill. € and less than 10 years time of existing are demonstrating further pre-conditions to the program´s admittance. After approved application for support companies will receive 80percent of the costs from space rental and booth building in form of a common exhibition area.
