The REACH programme is starting the next phase - Pre-Registration Period Expired

REACH The REACH programme as European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use has finished its pre-registration period and is starting the next phase.

The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances…

More than thirty ETRA member companies have taken advantage of the ETRA-UMENA REACH-programme - each company has pre-registered during the designated period from 1 June to 30 November, 2008. Momentarily it´s up to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) to create a Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) to share information and data about each pre-registered substance – including recycled tyre materials. In early 2009 there will be published a list of pre-registered substances, just like details will be prepared concerning the manufacturers or importers of these substances.
The goal of the Substance Information Exchange Forum is to share data among REACH registrants, collaborate on joint submissions in the Technical dossier, and agree on substance classification and labelling. Monthly Newsnotes and member seminars to support SIEF activities will guarantee unified information about a wide range of facts. Each pre-registrant name will remain on the active ETRA-UMENA list as long as the company is a member in good standing of the Association.
In this respect eximlink is proud to confirm the pre-registration at the REACH programme dealing with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical Substances.
